Poor Things Review

I get it, she fucks!” -Jocelyn

This film took me 2 days to finish on Hulu, and I don’t appreciate anyone who turns me into a prude. I think sex scenes in film and TV can add edge and intimacy into characters’ lives. However, when are we going to ask how much sex is too much sex in media. I think this movie lacked creativity when showcasing multiple sex scenes which distracted me from following along to the rest of the storyline. Considering the amazing costume and set design, maybe there was no more room for imagination concerning cinematography.

Not to sound like the censorship police but the imagery of the sex scenes as well considering the context was triggering and desensitizing at the same time. Yorgos is known for his shock value as a director, taking stories to new heights but I felt repulsed by this.

To the people who did watch this and loved it, you a freak!

I will not be answering questions at this time.
